Senior Software Developer | CT- hedge fund

A well-known macro hedge fund based in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Technology team. This individual will work on Windows client and server projects related to electronic trading order execution systems, within a small, collaborative team with close interaction between developers and business users.

• Working closely with developers and business users to gather requirements and scope projects
• Analyzing existing systems for robustness and performance improvements
• Presenting ideas for system improvements, both technical and business-related
• Producing product specifications and training peers and users on system use and maintenance
• Unit, integration, and functional testing
• Maintaining and supporting systems once released to UAT and production

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• C#, OOP, Concurrency, Real-time Systems, Automated Unit Testing, SOA
• Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle
• FIX Protocol and electronic trading experience
• Familiarity with the Appia FIX Engine (preferred)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools (preferred)
• Python, SQL (preferred)

Location: Connecticut | On-site, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $150,000 to $240,000 base salary
