Job Description Summary
Adjunct teaching within the cosmetology/barber program.
Required Education
Must provide minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree, which normally includes a bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline OR associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application.
Required Experience
All Applicants must provide current cosmetology license. Minimum three years of salon experience required. Must have experience with SHEARS, online services and TDLR.

Barber's license
Preferred Experience
Must be experienced in everyday operations within the salon as well as the classroom.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face-to-face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction.
All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Applicants are required to maintain current license status. Applicant is required to stay up to date with TDLR Administrative rules, regulations and laws.
