Job Description Summary

Adjunct teaching courses within the Workforce Education programs. Rate of pay dependent upon education/experience.

Required Education

All faculty members must provide minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certifications and/or licenses must be included in application.

Associate degree and/or 2-5 years work experience in the field of study;
Bachelor's degree and/or 6-10 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study;
Master's degree and/or 11-15 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study;
Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study.

Required Experience

A minimum of five years working experience in HVAC installation, service and repair, and EPA certification.

Preferred Education

Preferred Experience

Licensed contractor and completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults from different backgrounds, ethnicity, gender, ages, and religions or supervising HVAC technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teach courses in the assigned discipline. Maintain familiarity with and adhere to college policies and procedures. Maintain good rapport with students. Flexibility in schedule to teach day/evening/weekend classes. Perform other duties as assigned.
