Traveling Business Office Manager

Location: West Virginia Region | Travel Required
Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid/Travel

We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Traveling Business Office Manager (BOM) to support our West Virginia region
.

This position is ideal for a knowledgeable and adaptable Business Office professional who understands the unique demands of skilled nursing revenue cycle operations and is comfortable traveling between facilities to provide hands‑on support wherever it is needed most.

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with West Virginia Medicaid, including Medicaid Pending processes, is strongly preferred.

Given the traveling nature of this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible, knowledgeable, highly organized, and able to step into different facilities and provide immediate business office support. You will partner closely with facility leadership and regional teams while assisting with vacancies, training, Medicaid processes, accounts receivable, resident trust, and other revenue cycle initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an interim Business Office Manager at Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout West Virginia when BOM vacancies or additional support needs arise.

  • Assist with West Virginia Medicaid applications and Medicaid Pending accounts
    , including monitoring applications through resolution.

  • Provide hands‑on training and support to newly hired Business Office Managers.

  • Assist BOMs with accounts receivable, billing, collections, resident trust accounting, and month‑end processes.

  • Work closely with facility and regional leadership on special Revenue Cycle projects.

  • Manage and assist with front‑end collection of A/R balances due from residents while in‑house, including communication with residents and responsible parties.

  • Support back‑end collection efforts for outstanding balances following resident discharge.

  • Monitor Medicaid Pending accounts and work with the state, outside vendors, facilities, residents, and responsible parties to facilitate timely resolution.

  • Assist with month‑end closing of the billing system.

  • Oversee and support resident trust accounting while ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies.

  • Assist with resident trust reconciliations, analysis, and resolution of discrepancies.

  • Coordinate responses to audit requests and assist facilities with maintaining appropriate documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business office processes, collections, and overall revenue cycle performance.

  • Provide additional regional business office support and complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office setting
    , including direct experience with billing, collections, accounts receivable, and resident trust accounting.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of management experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility business office.

  • Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with West Virginia Medicaid and Medicaid Pending processes strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of SNF billing, collections, resident trust, and revenue cycle operations.

  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the West Virginia region and provide on‑site facility support as needed.

  • Must be flexible and comfortable stepping into facilities experiencing vacancies, transitions, or operational challenges.

  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, communication, and training skills.

  • Point Click Care  (PCC) billing system experience preferred.

  • National Data Care Resident Funds Management System (RFMS) experience preferred.

Salary Range

$70,000–$80,000 annually

Compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, Medicaid expertise, skills, and competencies, and may fall outside the range shown.
