Description:
WDTV is seeking a candidate regularly responsible for anchoring and producing newscasts. The select candidate should be a newsroom leader and should help with story generation. The candidate should thrive in breaking news situations and urgent/active delivery. The select candidate must demonstrate flexibility in the newsroom and on-air and present an energetic personality while delivering the news. The select candidate must be a team player.
Duties/Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
- - Anchor all A.M. newscasts from 5:30-7 a.m., & assist in producing broadcasts & a streaming show
- - Obtain some information on & write breaking news stories for the website & the shows
- - Share breaking news to Facebook & news app
- - Ability to communicate effectively with newsroom managers, producers, and co-workers
- - Strong attention to detail
- - Knowledge of journalism ethics and legal issues
- - Ability to meet news deadlines
- - Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and work under pressure
- - Maintain a professional appearance
