The Survey Practice Leader will serve as a senior technical and managerial resource within the local office, partnering with leadership across multiple disciplines to support project execution, staff development, and long‑term growth initiatives. This individual will balance operational responsibilities with client engagement and business development support.
Core Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and day‑to‑day management for survey staff, including licensed professionals and field technicians
- Establish and maintain quality, safety, and efficiency standards across all surveying projects
- Support staffing initiatives through recruitment, onboarding, and professional development
- Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Assist in expanding the survey practice through client relationships, proposal support, and market outreach
- Boundary, control, and right‑of‑way surveys
- ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys
- Topographic and existing conditions surveys
- Utility corridors and route surveys
- Subdivision mapping and record plats
- Construction staking and as‑built documentation
- Participation in an employee ownership program

- Approximately 10 or more years of progressive land surveying experience

- Experience with in a multi‑discipline consulting or professional services environment preferred
- Established professional network in the region is advantageous
