Overview
Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Bridgeport as a Field Technician in the Water Resources Group. This full-time position, the majority of your time will be spent in the field, overseeing and ensuring the successful implementation of water and sewer construction projects. You will interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials. Responsibilities- Oversee and ensure the successful implementation of water and sewer construction projects.
- 3+ years’ experience in construction observation or related field;
- Experience with earthwork, concrete, and water/sewer piping projects;
- Experience interacting with construction site personnel, engineers, and state/federal representatives;
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a pickup truck;
- Ability to work independently in the field in varying weather conditions with strict adherence to operating procedures and safety policies;
- Technical degree (engineering, science or related field) is a plus, but not required;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Ability to interpret and understand information on construction drawings and technical specifications.
