Job Overview

The Fiber Optic OSP Permit Specialist Assistant is responsible for aiding in managing and coordinating all aspects of obtaining permits and approvals required for the installation of fiber optic cables and related infrastructure in a designated geographic area. They work closely with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and internal project teams to ensure compliance with local regulations and codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Permit Acquisition:
    Aid in the research, identification, and acquisition of all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals required for fiber optic network construction and expansion projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and zoning laws related to fiber optic infrastructure deployment.
  • Documentation:
    Aid in preparing and maintaining detailed documentation of permit applications, including drawings, plans, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local requirements.
  • Agency Liaison:
    Aid in the establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with local authorities and other relevant agencies to facilitate the permitting process.

Qualifications
  • Education:

  • Experience:

  • Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of local and regional permitting processes, regulations, and codes. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is a plus.
