Engineer Positions

BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer I, Engineer II, Sr Engineer, or Sr Engineer II at our White Oaks General Office location in Bridgeport, WV.

Responsibilities include developing, designing, analyzing, and maintaining systems that uphold the data quality of gas measurement information to meet compliance requirements, prevent legal issues with customers, ensure analytical accuracy, and identify gaps in knowledge for personnel training. Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining dashboard visualizations, auditing gas measurement test reports, managing operations procedures related to measurement equipment and testing, facilitating, developing, and conducting internal measurement training, designing gas measurement, regulation, and control systems, providing engineering support to technicians, specialists, and other internal/external customers, developing reports to verify data accuracy for compliance requirements, developing dashboards for monitoring lost and unaccounted for gas and other measurement issues, aiding in the development of software to proactively detect issues with equipment via data analysis, creating and improving rule-based alarms within SCADA and other applications to identify measurement issues, performing testing and evaluation of new gas measurement and gas quality equipment, managing data quality of measurement test reports, developing, standardizing, and maintaining technical documentation, drawings, test procedures, installation procedures, and training manuals, designing, managing, and maintaining internal SharePoint sites for Measurement Engineering & Support, organizing, conducting, and developing training classes as required, managing the GMS and MCC Tech training classes that occur twice a year, spanning a 12-week period, aiding in the development and design of the new training lab, performing engineering studies of existing facilities, designing, developing, and supporting measurement & regulation systems and facilities which include meters, regulators, valves, over pressure protection devices, and other measurement related equipment, managing multiple issues, projects, and personnel over a large operating area, monitoring and managing a capital budget and providing support to engineering and operations in the completion of capital projects, and providing customers meter test reports as needed.

Preferences include an ABET accredited engineering degree with preference toward computer/software engineering. Required qualifications include a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program, ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes, demonstrated ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical manuals, demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, project schedules, and cost estimates, ability to lead, work independently, communicate effectively, and establish rapport, ability to define problems, collect accurate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions, demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer and common software applications, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
