Transportation Engineer - Project Manager

As a Transportation Engineering Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Bridgeport, West Virginia office, you will play a key role in designing and managing roadway infrastructure for a wide range of clients, including local municipalities, state DOTs, and private developers.

• Perform engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of transportation projects for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and government clients.
• Geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and other related efforts.
• Manage highway and local roadway engineering projects to ensure quality delivery of project submittals.
• Manage project contracts and financials; be involved with business development and marketing efforts, including identifying potential opportunities and supporting proposal and interview efforts.
• Mentor junior‑level staff.
• Monitor workload needs throughout the entire project development.

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience required.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required.
• DOT experience required; WVDOH experience is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of roadway design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley Open Roads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Diverse experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and right‑of‑way plan preparation.
• Experience in proposal preparation and engineering fee estimating.
• Experience in grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities preferred.
• Task lead and/or project management experience preferred.
