To perform as a technologist and assist the physician with patients who have had a variety of invasive cardiac procedures including but not limited to diagnostic heart catheterization, interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiological, device implantations, and peripheral vascular procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE
- 1. Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
- 2. Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided.
- MD:
Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians
- OH:
Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
- PA:
No state license required
- WV:
Radiography License or Temporary Radiography License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
- 3. Must be Nationally certified as defined by location where services will be provided:
MD: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
OH: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
PA: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within Six (6) months of graduation from Medical Imaging program.
WV: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within prior to expiration of WV temporary license.
- 4. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
- 5. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
- EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE
- 1. Obtain Dysthymia course certification through WVU Medicine within one year of hire.
- 2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- 1. One (1) year of experience as a CV interventional radiologic technologist.
