Position: UHC: Registered Nurse, 6N (Cardiac/PCU) (Night)
Overview
The incumbent is responsible for delivering nursing care through the nursing process in an inpatient hospital setting. The role requires advanced beginner level knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care, assess and interpret patient data, and apply independent nursing judgment. The nurse may provide care personally or supervise care provided by others to achieve quality patient care outcomes.
The position is defined as RN - Level I and emphasizes professional nursing care within the scope of practice, including growth and development principles across the life span.
Minimum Qualifications Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
- Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses, or appropriate state board where services will be provided, as a registered professional nurse OR Current multi-state licensure through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
Experience:
- One (1) year of nursing experience.

- Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
