Travel RN job in Bridgeport, West Virginia (WV 26330) for a Registered Nurse (RN) supporting a fast-paced acute care Med Surg/Oncology unit with telemetry at a leading acute care hospital in the area. • Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,950–$2,060/week

• Location: Bridgeport, WV 26330 (West Virginia travel nursing job)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Med Surg/Oncology with Telemetry
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 2/20/2026
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours: 36 hours/week (guaranteed)
• Weekends: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun)
• Holidays: Rotated with core staff
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• Typical Ratios: 1:5–6
• EMR/Charting: EPIC
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs (no false nails)
• Floating: May float to Med Surg/Tele units as needed

• Experience: Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience preferred (oncology nursing experience a plus)
• License: Active Registered Nurse license (must be valid for submission)
• Certification: AHA BLS required
• Telemetry Skills: Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips (central monitor tech support available)
• Compliance: Must provide an unexpired driver’s license at submission
• Preferred: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (chemo is administered by core staff; oncology familiarity is a plus)

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care as a Travel RN for a mixed Med Surg/Oncology/Telemetry population, including post-op patients (e.g., lap chole, lap appy) and oncology patients with complications
• Care for patients requiring neutropenic precautions and treatment for pneumonia, infections, and other acute conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; recognize changes and escalate concerns per policy
• Support care for patients with chest tubes, including malignant pleural effusions and patients discharged with Pleur
  
  X drains (experience highly valued)
• Administer medications and therapies per orders; manage heparin infusions as applicable (no cardiac drips)
• Collaborate with charge nurse, CNAs, RT, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and optimize throughput
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
• Maintain unit standards for safety, infection prevention, and professional nursing practice
