Minimum Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or a current multi‑state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.Experience

Communicates and interacts with clients, families, visitors, physicians, departmental and hospital staff, and the public in a professional manner.Remains current and responsive to changes in healthcare delivery, regulatory standards, and the needs of the organization.Ensures patients and caregivers receive education about their condition, therapies, and dressings.Participates in processes to assess and improve services and compliance, reporting results to appropriate administrative levels.Provides comprehensive wound management, including assessment of causative factors, nutritional needs, and topical therapies to inpatient patients.Provides instruction on proper wound dressing.Assesses and treats draining wounds and fistulae.Reviews and modifies pouch system problems.Cross trains and supports the outpatient wound care center as needed.Provides recommendations on strategies to help improve and grow inpatient and outpatient wound care programs.Collaborates with physicians or care management to plan and deliver patient care.Reviews and develops nursing policies and procedures specific to wound care and ostomy.Physical Requirements
Minimize manual lift of patients, limiting safe patient handling to 35 pounds, using lift equipment or other aids as appropriate.Requires strength and stamina for lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying materials and equipment weighing 35+ pounds.Working Environment

Job Description:
Incumbent must obtain Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification within two (2) years of hire or transfer into the position. Certification must be maintained in accordance with the certifying body's requirements.
