Job Summary

With a patient centered culture, the Lead RN will provide a positive experience to our patients by ensuring optimal care to the patients we serve. As a working lead RN, this role will serve to provide and oversee the total patient experience, lead efforts to provide safe and efficient patient care activities and serve as a mentor and preceptor to staff.

Responsibilities

Core Duties

The Lead RN coordinates patient flow and leads performance improvement initiatives within the department. This role will suuport activities to ensure all quality and efficiency benchmarks are met to improve quality patient outcomes. The Lead RN will identify and assist with streamlining care.

Assessment

The registered nurse collects comprehensive data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health and/or situation by providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.

Diagnosis

The registered nurse analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or the issues by providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.

Outcomes Identification

The registered nurse identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation by providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.

Planning

The registered nurse develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternative to attain expected outcomes by providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.

Implementation

The registered nurse implements the identified plan by providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.

Evaluation

The registered nurse evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes by providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.

Job-Specific

Able to assist with direct care in all settings of the hospital

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Heavy Work Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.

Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families.

Experience
- 3 years in Emergency Department (preferred); 2 years required

Education

• Associate's Degree

• Bachelor's Degree

Credentials

• Registered Nurse (Required)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• Basic Life Support

• Pediatric Adv Life Support

• Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum
