This is a 12-hour night shift position, requiring weekend work as scheduled.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality care to patients in a Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown unit, focusing on a variety of cardiac conditions and post-surgical recovery. The RN will be responsible for continuous monitoring, administering medication, and supporting patient recovery while providing compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to a patient population with cardiac conditions, including post-operative care.
- Monitor vital signs and perform patient assessments to detect changes in health status.
- Titrate various medications and drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication management.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in a high-acuity telemetry or stepdown unit preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle critical situations.
