Requirements- Active RN License
- BLS and ACLS required
- PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license required with submission
- Must live outside the 50-mile radius rule
- No false nails permitted
- 32-bed Emergency Department
- Dedicated triage area
- Fast Track open daily from 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
- Typical patient population includes:
- Chest pain
- Respiratory failure
- Abdominal pain
- Pediatric patients (approximately 15%)
- Trauma stabilization
- Head injuries
- Major trauma patients are stabilized and transferred to a Level I Trauma Center
- Main ED: 1:4
- Lower Acuity Area: 1:5
- Fast Track: 1:4–6
- Charge nurse without patient assignment
- Three ER Techs per shift
- Three ED physicians on-site during peak hours, plus NP/PA support
- 12-hour shifts:
- 6:15 AM–6:45 PM
- 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
- 6:15 PM–6:45 AM
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
- No floating outside the Emergency Department
