This is a 13-week contract position.
The position requires 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekends as scheduled.
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (Stepdown) focused on patients with cardiac conditions and post-operative recovery. The RN will assist in monitoring cardiac and telemetry patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings.
- Titrate IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and managing respiratory equipment for patients requiring CPAP and BiPAP.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and prescribed treatment plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN license.
- Required
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). - Must be proficient in titrating IV medications.
- Experience in a telemetry or cardiac care setting preferred.
