Registered Nurse - Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, every other weekend required.
Join our team in a high-acuity Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown unit, where you'll provide specialized care for cardiac patients across various needs, including post-operative procedures and acute health crises.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac issues, including those post-cardiac catheterization and respiratory failure.
- Titrate intravenous medications and manage cardiac drips as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system.
- Participate in team nursing alongside nursing assistants to enhance patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a Cardiac or Telemetry unit preferred.
- Must be able to titrate drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Nitro.
