Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in an Oncology unit with a 36-bed capacity. The role involves managing general Med Surg and post-operative patients, including oncology cases with specific procedures and precautions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, biologics, and manage patients with oncology-related complications.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, and titrate heparin drips as required.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Follow infection control protocols, including neutropenic precautions and infection management.
• Document patient care accurately and update medical records promptly.
• Manage respiratory equipment like CPAP and BiPAP, coordinating with RTs for treatments.

Qualifications:

• Current BSN and valid RN license required.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS, with ONCC and chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Experience with oncology patients, chest tubes, PleurX devices, and acute care procedures.
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to interpret telemetry strips.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days and nights, with every-other-weekend schedule.
• Must include a copy of an unexpired driver’s license with submissions.
