Job Summary
An RN specializing in Step Down units is needed for an acute care facility. This position involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as post-myocardial infarction with sheath pull, acute decompensated heart failure, post-operative vascular surgeries, gastrointestinal bleeding, and diabetic keto acidosis. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment on night shifts.

- Unit comprises 18 beds with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Typical patient care involves titrating drips such as Nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene
- Nurse aides are available on the unit with a 1:1 ratio
- Telemetry monitoring is employed with RNs reading strips
- No call or standby duties required; float may be required as needed
- Performed charting via EPIC electronic health record system
- Unit employs BiPap and Cpap equipment; no specific facility or hospital names included
