This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Bridgeport, WV. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors, build and maintain relationships with key clients, and support long-term account growth. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and bids, participating in sales presentations, and collaborating with operations leaders to align service offerings with client needs.
The role involves monitoring market trends, attending industry events, maintaining accurate sales pipelines and activity reports, and contributing to strategic planning for regional growth. The Business Development Manager will also work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project onboarding, high client satisfaction, and consistent follow-through from initial contact through project closeout.
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing new business opportunities.
- Account management and client relationship skills, with the ability to build trust, understand client needs, and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Knowledge of energy, utilities, or industrial infrastructure sectors, preferably with exposure to inspection, construction management, or QA/QC services.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical services and project value to diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills, including market research, competitive analysis, and revenue forecasting.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office applications, and basic digital collaboration tools.
- Proven ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, or client services within the energy or construction industries is strongly preferred.
