A&P Technician (Engine Shop Mechanic/Welder)
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for an A&P Technician (Engine Shop Mechanic/Welder) in Bridgeport, WV.
Responsibilities:
- Work on projects with engineering
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to determine part condition
- Perform repairs to engine components and assemblies for return to service
- Ability to understand and inspect tools and specialized tooling for damage and serviceability
- Understand and follow all EH&S policies & procedures
- Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions
- Clean equipment within the department to prevent unnecessary maintenance and to display a safe and clean work environment within the facility
- Work overtime when necessary to meet customer needs
- Travel may be required when necessary to meet customer needs
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- MINIMUM
- A&P License
- Welding experience (MIG) – Must demonstrate proficiency
- Mechanical aptitude
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- US work authorization
- Will be required to supply own hand tools

Essential Job Functions:
- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task
- Must possess normal dexterity and be able to lift and move heavy items
- Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing
- Must be fully engaged in supporting all company initiatives to achieve the highest standard of work
- Must have a background in welding and fabrication
- Must be able to take and follow detailed directions
- Must be able to drive and hold a fork truck license
