Customer Service Specialist
Cumberland Dairy has an immediate job opening for a well-rounded Customer Service Specialist to perform a wide array of functions including management of customer complaints and issuing credits; processing customer orders; and providing professional, positive, and consistent customer service. The Customer Service Specialist will need to communicate effectively within your department and meet daily deadlines, as well as provide backup assistance to other members of the order fulfilment team.
WhatYou'll Do
- Work in Oracle JDE and SAP order processing
- Serve as a trusted resource for customers via phone and written communication
- Manage customer orders from entry to shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to orders, logistics, billing, and products
- Coordinate with Sales, Transportation, Production, Credit, and Plant teams to resolve service issues and support customer needs
- Proactively monitor orders and communicate updates, changes, and resolutions
- Research customer concerns and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal partners to provide exceptional account support
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation within company systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Oracle JDE or SAP order processing application knowledge preferred
- 1-3 years of customer service, account management, or related experience preferred
- Strong customer-first mindset and commitment to service excellence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-moving environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

Our Associates For This Position Start At An Hourly Rate Of:
- $ 25/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree in business related field preferred
- Oracle JDE or SAP order processing application knowledge preferred
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices preferred
- Experience in food/beverage industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft® Office Suites, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
- Ability to read and write English and keep records; bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
