Position Overview

We're looking for a dedicated Paraprofessionals/Instructional Aides – Special Education to support students with special needs in reaching their fullest potential. In this vital role, you'll work closely with teachers to implement individualized learning plans, assist in daily classroom instruction, and help foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every child can succeed.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree (required)
  • Experience working with educationally disabled students (preferred)
  • Knowledge of child development and effective classroom practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must pass a criminal background check and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support to students with special needs
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Clarify and reinforce lessons, directions, and concepts introduced by the teacher
  • Support students with assignments, classwork, and behavioral goals
  • Help prepare instructional materials and teaching aids
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, field trips, and transitions
  • Participate in meetings and professional development as assigned
  • Support students with personal care needs (e.g. snack routines, dressing assistance) when necessary
  • Provide guidance during community-based instruction and life skills activities
  • Maintain a positive, nurturing, and structured environment for all students
