About the RoleWe're seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our partner district in Bridgeton, New Jersey. In this role, you'll assess and support students' cognitive, emotional, and social development, helping them reach their full potential through evidence-based interventions and collaborative teamwork.
As a key member of the school community, you'll provide essential psychological services, serve as a trusted consultant to staff and families, and contribute to the design of effective educational programs that foster student success.
What You'll Do- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, behavioral, adaptive, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to interpret results and design tailored interventions.
- Participate as a key member of the Child Study Team, contributing to eligibility decisions and IEP development.
- Provide individual and group counseling to promote emotional regulation, resilience, and academic success.
- Coordinate and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure services meet each student's unique needs.
- Offer crisis intervention and preventative support services as needed.
- Facilitate staff trainings and professional development on strategies for student mental health and learning support.
- Consult with community agencies to connect families with external resources when necessary.
- Serve as case manager for assigned students, maintaining ongoing communication with families and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey School Psychologist Certification (in accordance with state and district requirements)
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in K–12 school settings
- Familiarity with IEP development and Child Study Team processes
