The Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC) serves as New Jersey’s premier Food Business Incubation and International Soft Landings Program. With expertise in marketing, technical processes, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing, the FIC supports domestic and international food companies from concept to commercialization. As part of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and Rutgers University, the center combines local impact with a global reach.
FIC operates across three locations in New Jersey:
Bridgeton, Piscataway, and New Brunswick, providing services to help businesses establish and expand their presence in the U.S. market.
This is a full‑time on‑site role located in Bridgeton, NJ for a Senior Manager for Production and Planning. The role involves overseeing and optimizing production planning, managing production schedules, and ensuring the efficient execution of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities also include analyzing operational data to drive improvements, coordinating resources, and collaborating closely with various teams to ensure smooth production workflows. The Senior Manager will ensure adherence to industry regulations, provide solutions to challenges, and play a crucial role in achieving overall operational goals.
Qualifications- Expertise in Production Planning and Production Schedules management to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines
- Strong Planning and Analytical Skills to optimize resource allocation and solve complex production challenges
- Experience in Production Management, including oversight of processes, teams, and adherence to industry regulations
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques to support operational workflows
- Ability to lead teams effectively with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business Management, Industrial Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Prior experience in a production management or planning leadership role within the food industry is highly desirable
