About the Opportunity

24 is partnering with a leading food & beverage manufacturer in the Seabrook, NJ area to identify a skilled Maintenance Planner to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in keeping a high-volume production facility running at peak performance.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities across the facility. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and supervisors, this individual will ensure that all work orders are executed efficiently, equipment downtime is minimized, and resources are properly allocated to support production goals.
This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has hands-on experience with CMMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance work orders across all departments
- Manage and reduce the maintenance work order backlog to ensure timely completion of all tasks
- Enter and maintain accurate records in CMMS systems, tracking both planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Audit work orders to verify labor hours, parts usage, and work completion accuracy
- Coordinate with storeroom staff to ensure parts and materials are available for all scheduled work orders
- Communicate daily with Maintenance Supervisors and Managers on work order status, priorities and resource needs
- Prepare and distribute weekly PM schedules to the operations team
- Plan and coordinate contractor support for inspections, calibrations and preventative maintenance activities
- Generate weekly performance reports and metrics to track maintenance team productivity
- Support equipment record maintenance including manuals, warranties and service history
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory requirements at all times
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the maintenance function
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree a plus
- Proficiency with CMMS systems (E-Maint experience a strong plus)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills — Excel, Word, Power Point
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with wet and humid conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience
- Background in food & beverage or consumer goods manufacturing
- Experience coordinating contractors and outside vendors
- Familiarity with SQF, food safety and regulatory compliance requirements
- Project management experience a plus
