Job Summary
Responsible for performing root‑cause analysis diagnoses, as well as repairing and implementing permanent solutions to equipment failures. Ensures that all work performed is in compliance with all local and national electrical code, and assists with reviewing all pertinent electrical programs and procedures. This position is also responsible for communicating any problems or concerns with the Maintenance Lead.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment problems.
- Perform root‑cause analysis to diagnose, repair and implement permanent solutions to equipment failures.
- Perform and direct set‑up and adjustments of equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that reduces operating costs.
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment following preventive maintenance schedules.
- Utilize troubleshooting skills and techniques on packaging equipment to detect malfunctions.
- Manage and maintain electrical parts inventory.
- Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors to diagnose problems and repairs of machine.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement changes.
- Be able to understand PLC Ladder Logic. Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC required.
- Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times. Must stay focused on maintaining a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate high levels of good housekeeping practices to promote a safe work environment.
- Routine maintenance duties.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree (A.
A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school. - 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to use basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds up to 40 inches from the floor.
- Able to function with a high degree of manual dexterity to assemble or repair precision equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot using a PLC.
- Ability to use a laptop computer for troubleshooting purposes.
- Able to stoop, bend, and climb.
- Able to operate material handling equipment including forklifts.
- Able to push/pull carts that may have loads exceeding 200 pounds.
- Able to read electrical schematics.
Work environment representative of a normal manufacturing environment.
