Position: LPN Corrections Openings in Bridgeton, NJ
Amergis is seeking dedicated and resilient Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide quality healthcare services within a secure correctional environment. This role involves direct patient care, medication administration, emergency response, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a secure correctional setting
• Administer medications, injections, and prescribed treatments accurately
• Conduct intake screenings, assessments, and routine vital sign checks
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or triage care
• Monitor patient health status and document all care and observations
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and correctional personnel to coordinate care
• Educate patients on medications, chronic conditions, and hygiene
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and correctional protocols

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey LPN license
• 1.5+ years of LPN experience (required)
• Current BLS certification
• Must be comfortable working in a prison/correctional environment (fast-paced, structured, and potentially challenging)
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior correctional healthcare experience
• Experience in behavioral health, detox, or chronic disease management
• Experience with EMR systems
