Travel Registered Nurse – Correctional Facility (Evening Shift)

Location:

Bridgeton, NJ 08302

Schedule:

Evenings, 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Shifts:

2 days/week, every other weekend, rotating Mondays & Fridays

Contract Length: 13 weeks (10/06/25 – 01/03/26)

Guaranteed

Hours:

40 hrs/week

Overtime:
Daily OT after 24 hrs, weekly OT after 40 hrs

On-Call:
None

Compensation Gross Pay: $2,256/week

Breakdown: $34.35/hr taxable (40 hrs) = $1,374/week

Housing stipend = $582/week (non-taxable)

Meals stipend = $300/week (non-taxable)

Flexible structure: pay package can be adjusted to increase taxable or stipend portions depending on your preference.

Requirements

Current RN license (New Jersey or compact state)

AHA BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of RN experience (corrections or acute care strongly preferred)

Must be able to work independently in a correctional environment

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated patients in the medical unit

Perform triage, administer medications, and complete assessments

Collaborate with physicians and correctional staff to ensure patient safety

Manage both routine and complex cases, including chronic disease and urgent care needs
