Part Time Bookkeeper

Position Overview:

A TEC Group client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team in Bridgeview. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Quick Books and be comfortable managing and reviewing financial data for a small business of approximately 10 employees. This role supports their Controller and plays a vital part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile all company bank statements monthly
• Oversee and reconcile company credit card accounts (approx. 10 employees)
• Conduct monthly audits of receipts and expense reports; provide summary reports to the Controller
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Quick Books records
• Assist the Controller with special projects and ad hoc financial tasks as needed
• Perform general bookkeeping duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial data entry
• Ensure compliance with company policies for expense tracking and financial documentation
• Support preparation of financial reports and documentation for internal use

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience managing credit card reconciliation and monthly audits
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Previous experience supporting a Controller or similar senior finance role
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Compensation:

Hourly rate based on experience.
