General Production - 1st Shift

Overview

Welch Packaging is hiring for General Production on 1st Shift.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. This is an hourly, full-time position. Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $18.00/hr the range is provided by Welch Packaging; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• Follows all safety procedures associated with machine center
• Prepares bottom and top sheets for units and prints load tags
• Responsible for unitization per customer specification
• Understands and participates in quality checks as required
• Works at a pace set by the machine operator to achieve conformance to production schedule
• Reads and follows shop order instructions
• Troubleshoots problems throughout production run
• Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area

• Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment is preferred
• Proven ability to work SAFELY adhering to all safety processes and policies
• Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to support operational and business needs
• Ability to work either individually or in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• For safety and operational efficiency, candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (understanding safety instructions, operating procedures, and workplace signage)
