Technical Services Field Supervisor III

Job Scope

Manages product quality while promoting products, concrete knowledge, and company image to customers through direct or delegated duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and supervise plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
  • Train operating personnel on product quality, features, and benefits.
  • Develop work processes to meet or exceed company goals and performance targets.
  • Manage, train, and develop direct and indirect personnel.
  • Monitor pour schedules and ensure QC presence on high‑priority projects.
  • Visit job sites, attend pre‑pour meetings, and conduct customer calls to promote value‑added products and gather market and job information.
  • Perform ongoing ACI & ASTM concrete and raw‑materials testing; record test data, apply statistical quality control procedures, evaluate data, write reports, and generate graphs and charts to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Evaluate existing quality or production standards and procedures, recommend modifications, and lead their implementation.
  • Review and supervise the work of Concrete Testing Services.
  • Advise upper management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers.
  • Lead investigation of complaints, identify possible causes, conduct further testing, propose resolution, and work with sales to resolve customer complaints.
  • Lead research and development initiatives within the group, optimizing and improving the quality of current concrete mixes.
  • Mentor new or less experienced QC Field personnel on technical knowledge.
  • Conduct audits and implement ongoing improvements to the Quality Performance System.
  • Complete all required paperwork (reports, forms, letters, etc.).
  • Conduct onsite safety observations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and industry‑related certifications, or equivalent technical concrete college education.
  • 3+ years of related experience in concrete production and testing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must obtain ACI Level 1 certification.
  • Knowledge of concrete production and testing processes.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple tasks in a high‑profile, fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work a variable schedule.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations.

Salary

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000.
