Field Service Mechanic - Mining

Position: Field Service Mechanic - Sandvik Mining
Join Sandvik Mining as a Field Service Heavy Duty Mechanic in Ontario. Here, you will focus on maintaining underground equipment with a stable work schedule of 7-7 / 14-14.

The role requires a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic with a solid background in troubleshooting and repair of mining equipment. You’ll be essential in ensuring operational safety and efficiency, performing equipment inspections, and participating in ongoing development initiatives. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will be key to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and determine faults in equipment

• Repair or replace parts and components as needed

• Ensure repaired equipment operates correctly

• Lead commissioning of new equipment for customers

• Maintain records and report on technical performance

Requirements:

• Trade certification; red seal considered an asset

• At least 3 years experience in the mining industry

• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics

• Valid driver’s license; travel across Canada required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
