Cost Accountant – Bridgewater, NJ (Onsite)

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the Bridgewater, NJ area, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role partners closely with plant operations and finance leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, improve operational performance, and provide financial insights that support business decisions.

• Analyze manufacturing, labor, inventory, and production costs.
• Investigate cost variances and assist with root cause analysis.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc cost analysis reports.
• Support month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Estimate product costs for existing and new products.
• Monitor production process changes and evaluate their financial impact.
• Assist with inventory analysis, standard costing, and cost forecasting.
• Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in financial audits and support internal controls.
• Perform financial analysis and special projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA is preferred.
  
  Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
