Summer Shannon Grant Assistant
BSU is seeking an undergraduate student to work with Criminal Justice Faculty to assist with work related to the Shannon Grant – a state funded program designed to help reduce gang violence in the City of Brockton. We are looking for a dedicated undergraduate student that will be responsible for:
- data entry
- organizing files
- assisting with data analysis
- assisting with literature reviews
- coordinating schedules for the PI and Co-PI
This position is for up to 10 paid weeks over the summer semester, for up to 20 hours per week.
Please note:
The assistant may also be tasked with grant related activities, which may take place in Brockton.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic experience in Criminal Justice Familiarity with various software (Microsoft word, Excel, SPSS) Knowledge of how to perform searches for information on academic databases.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for periods of time, while performing investigations on the computer. Ability to travel short distances to off-campus sites between Bridgewater and Brockton.
