Syneos Health is a leading fully‑integrated life sciences services organization that partners with innovators across the drug development continuum.

The Director of Organization Development (OD) leads the OD team within the Org Effectiveness & Change Center of Excellence and serves as an internal consultant, overseeing strategic initiatives in organization analysis, design, operating model, and team effectiveness.

• Serve as an enterprise thought leader on organizational development, staying current with industry trends and leveraging external networks.
• Partner with senior leaders, Corporate Strategy, HR Business Partners, and Finance to translate business strategy into organizational solutions.
• Lead assessments to identify gaps and design customized interventions that translate goals into measurable effectiveness.
• Develop and oversee OE initiatives, including org analysis, role design, operating model design, strategic alignment and culture transformations.
• Design organizations and operating models, create phased implementation plans, facilitate participative processes, and bridge design to implementation.
• Act as an internal OE consultant to senior teams and deliver leadership development sessions and strategic alignment workshops.
• Ensure all OD solutions are scalable, evidence‑based, and anchored in business priorities.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a small, high‑performing team of OD professionals.
• Align resources across the matrix, set clear goals, establish accountability, and promote continuous growth and innovation.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and high performance.

• Determine appropriate analysis techniques and lead completion of analyses.
• Synthesize complex concepts into actionable insights.
• Understand interdependencies within an organization.
• Manage a portfolio of projects with milestones and risks.
• Engage in difficult conversations and manage conflict.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Expert knowledge of organizational and cultural awareness.
• Strong analytical mindset and data extraction ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.

• Adaptability to dynamic matrix environment, advise complex matters.
