Superintendent 1 - MEPs
Location: White Plains, NY
Pay Range: 65K – 95K
Our client is seeking a Superintendent I – MEP Focus to join their growing construction team in White Plains, NY. Working alongside the Lead Superintendent, this individual will oversee the day-to-day field execution of the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP) scopes while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Safety- Promote and enforce all jobsite safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct daily site walks and identify potential hazards.
- Coordinate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety plans, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Manage site security and subcontractor safety compliance.
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection subcontractors.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure work complies with plans and specifications.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
- Assist with layout verification and field coordination.
- Participate in project QA/QC planning.
- Coordinate mock‑ups, inspections, punch lists, and deficiency tracking.
- Verify work conforms to approved shop drawings and project specifications.
- Maintain documentation through project closeout.
- Develop and maintain three‑week look‑ahead schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractor sequencing and daily activities.
- Monitor project progress and communicate schedule impacts.
- Assist with procurement tracking and material deliveries.
- Complete daily reports using Procore.
- Process RFIs, shop drawings, and field documentation.
- Maintain project photographs, permits, inspection records, and T&M logs.
- Track punch lists and closeout items.
- Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, owners, architects, and project team members.
- Participate in weekly subcontractor and project meetings.
- Mentor junior staff and promote teamwork throughout the project.
- 3–7 years of commercial construction field experience.
- Experience working for a General Contractor.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience with Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
