Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

They are currently looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. This is an opportunity to join a growing construction organization and play a key role in the preconstruction process, working on projects from initial plans and specifications through final bid.
The ideal candidate understands that estimating is more than plugging numbers into a spreadsheet. It s about knowing what you re looking at, asking the right questions, understanding the market, and putting together a number the project team can actually build.

You ll have the opportunity to:
- Estimate a variety of commercial construction projects
- Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership
- Take ownership of estimates from initial review through bid submission
- Participate in the development of project budgets and bid strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and trade partners
- Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents
- Identify potential risks, gaps, and opportunities before they become problems
- Be involved in projects from the earliest stages of development

Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses.
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Develop complete bid proposals and assist with tender submissions.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and estimating records.
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project handovers as required.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
