• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop complete bid proposals and assist with tender submissions.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process.
• Maintain up‑to‑date pricing databases and estimating records.
• Attend site visits, pre‑bid meetings, and project handovers as required.

• 8+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Estimate a variety of commercial construction projects
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership
• Take ownership of estimates from initial review through bid submission
• Participate in the development of project budgets and bid strategies
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and trade partners
• Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents
• Identify potential risks, gaps, and opportunities before they become problems
• Be involved in projects from the earliest stages of development
• Work alongside an experienced construction team
