** Bridgewater, New Jersey The purpose of an Event Coordinator is to support both internal and external customers as it relates to Event Coordination; to work with Sales, hotel operational departments and third party food and beverage outlets to ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of the group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist in tracking Events revenue.
* Finalize and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for all events within the 10-day forecast to internal departments. (Group Billing)
* Distribute Daily Events reports to ensure effective communication across departments.
* Answer phones and route Events sales inquiries to the appropriate Sales Manager.
* Create and communicate event resumes for small group bookings.
* Ensure that reader boards are updated daily with current event space information.
* Maintaining the Group Transportation Log and communicating with carrier
* Processing Marriott Bonvoy Points and eBonus Points
* Producing breakfast and dinner vouchers as well as menu cards
* Assist the Events team with promotional mailings, file maintenance, and organizing sales materials.
* Follow up on special banquet event arrangements from Director, to ensure compliance.
* Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards
* Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code
* Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

* • Experience with Marriott FSPMS is required***
* • Additional experience with CI/TY is required*
* • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.

** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.  At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.  College course work in a related field helpful.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* ** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
* Ability to interpret and perform basic math functions.  Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data.
* Computer knowledge required. Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs required.
