Overview
BSU’s English department is looking for writing fellows to support students in Enhanced ENGL 101 classes. Fellows will meet one‑on‑one with ENGL 101E students in the AAC, every week.
Responsibilities- Support students, if needed, in interpreting the writing prompt and criteria.
- Ask questions prompting them to plan, develop, and organize ideas.
- Give feedback on their writing, with the primary goal of fostering their development as writers rather than maximizing the grade.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Openness to receiving constructive criticism
- Eagerness to work in a team environment
- Eagerness to take initiative
- Ability to meet students where they are rather than seeing them as deficient.
