Part Time Faculty, Dept. of Physics, Photonics and Optical Engineering

The Department of Physics at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part Time Faculty for the 2026/2027 academic year, who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates.

Candidates must:

* demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.

* Utilize an equity- minded framework to prepare lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques, multi-media, integration strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.

* Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourage student success to all students regardless of race.

Specific course offerings for which Part Time Faculty are requested include general algebra-based physics I and II, astronomy for non-majors, physical science for students majoring in elementary education, as well as upper-level courses for physics and engineering majors.
