Part-Time Faculty, Dept. of Communication Studies
This posting is for potential part‑time, non‑benefited, day program faculty positions in the Communication Department. The current salary rate for a typical 3‑credit lecture course taught by a new part‑time faculty member in the day program is $4,005.00, paid through bi‑weekly payroll direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact hour equivalencies.
Specific Course Offerings- Public speaking
- Media studies
Courses may be offered on the main campus in Bridgewater (during the day or the evening), or at local high schools as part of BSU’s Early College program.
Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field
- Ability to effectively teach in a close, collegial environment dedicated to the teaching-learning relationship.
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity.
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning.
- Provide quality teaching including related preparation and grading.
- Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the department office as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.
