Position
Description:
The Half Graduate Assistant (.5 GA) will work 10 hours per week and receive up to 15 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 6 for fall, 6 for spring and 3 for summer.
- Faculty Development Support
- Assist in the design and delivery of workshops, learning communities, and training sessions.
- Support development of resources on teaching strategies, inclusive pedagogy, and educational technologies.
- Collaborate with OTL staff and Faculty Fellows on programming initiatives.
- Instructional Design & Educational Technology
- Support course design and redesign projects using evidence‑based practices.
- Assist faculty in integrating instructional technologies and digital tools into teaching.
- Contribute to development of online and hybrid learning resources.
- Research & Assessment
- Assist with research on teaching and learning initiatives, including literature reviews and data analysis.
- Support assessment of OTL programs and initiatives.
- Contribute to reports, presentations, or scholarship related to teaching and learning.
- Resource Development & Curation
- Develop and curate materials (guides, tutorials, case studies) for faculty use.
- Help maintain and expand OTL’s resource repository.
- Create communication materials to promote OTL programs and services.
- Strategic Projects
- Participate in special projects aligned with OTL priorities (e.g., AI in teaching, inclusive pedagogy initiatives, faculty learning communities).
- Collaborate across campus units when appropriate.
- Interest in higher education, leadership, teaching and learning, instructional design, or educational technology.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
- Experience with teaching, workshop facilitation, tutoring, or academic support (preferred but not required).
