Position

Description:

The Half Graduate Assistant (.5 GA) will work 10 hours per week and receive up to 15 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 6 for fall, 6 for spring and 3 for summer.

• Faculty Development Support
  • Assist in the design and delivery of workshops, learning communities, and training sessions.
  • Support development of resources on teaching strategies, inclusive pedagogy, and educational technologies.
  • Collaborate with OTL staff and Faculty Fellows on programming initiatives.
• Instructional Design & Educational Technology
  • Support course design and redesign projects using evidence‑based practices.
  • Assist faculty in integrating instructional technologies and digital tools into teaching.
  • Contribute to development of online and hybrid learning resources.
• Research & Assessment
  • Assist with research on teaching and learning initiatives, including literature reviews and data analysis.
  • Support assessment of OTL programs and initiatives.
  • Contribute to reports, presentations, or scholarship related to teaching and learning.
• Resource Development & Curation
  • Develop and curate materials (guides, tutorials, case studies) for faculty use.
  • Help maintain and expand OTL’s resource repository.
  • Create communication materials to promote OTL programs and services.
• Strategic Projects
  • Participate in special projects aligned with OTL priorities (e.g., AI in teaching, inclusive pedagogy initiatives, faculty learning communities).
  • Collaborate across campus units when appropriate.

• Interest in higher education, leadership, teaching and learning, instructional design, or educational technology.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with teaching, workshop facilitation, tutoring, or academic support (preferred but not required).
