This posting is for potential part-time, non-benefited, day program faculty positions in the Criminal Justice Department.

The mission of the Department of Criminal Justice is to prepare students for academic and occupational success through high quality education. Successful candidates will be staff members who can work with colleagues to help meet the mission of the department in serving and supporting our diverse campus community.

Part-Time Faculty are needed in the following areas:

• Early college-offsite courses
• Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Criminal Law, Intro to Crime Theory, and other core criminal justice courses

Candidates must demonstrate ability to use technology effectively in online and in-person teaching, and learning designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.

Candidates must develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning, and encourage student success to all students regardless of race.

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology or Sociology.
• Related fields may also be considered.

• Teaching experience is preferred.

The current salary rate for a typical 3 credit lecture course taught by a new part-time faculty member in the day program is $4,005.00, paid through bi-weekly payroll direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact hour equivalencies.
