The current salary rate for a typical 3‑credit lecture course taught by a new part‑time faculty member in the day program is $4,005.00, paid through bi‑weekly payroll direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact hour equivalencies.

The Department of Physics, Photonics and Optical Engineering at Bridgewater State University is a versatile and growing department serving a diverse student body. • Teach general algebra‑based physics I and II, astronomy for non‑majors, physical science for elementary education majors, and upper‑level courses for physics and engineering majors.
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate varied instructional techniques, multimedial resources, and integration strategies to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of all students.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment that fosters effective learning and encourages all students to succeed.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of abilities.

• Masters Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
