The Department of Physics, Photonics and Optical Engineering at Bridgewater State University is a versatile and growing department serving a diverse student body. The department offers courses in physics, photonics, and optical engineering, and supports undergraduate majors, minors, and graduate students in a strong research environment.
Responsibilities- Teach general algebra‑based physics I and II, astronomy for non‑majors, physical science for elementary education majors, and upper‑level courses for physics and engineering majors.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate varied instructional techniques, multimedial resources, and integration strategies to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of all students.
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that fosters effective learning and encourages all students to succeed.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of abilities.
- Masters Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional references (minimum three) as requested in application.
