Position OverviewThe Senior EHS Specialist shapes and manages the facility’s environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting customer requirements. By driving safe practices, sustainable processes, and accurate reporting, the Senior EHS Specialist is essential to maintaining a well-run and compliant operation.
Responsibilities Of The Senior EHS Specialist- Act as the site’s lead EHS authority, guiding safety and environmental programs while ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, including occupational safety, environmental standards, and fire protection codes.
- Manage customer-facing sustainability and compliance platforms by preparing, entering, and verifying required safety, environmental, and performance data.
- Develop, track, and interpret key EHS metrics, producing routine monthly and quarterly reports that highlight performance trends and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee facility utility usage and resource consumption, identifying reduction strategies and supporting initiatives that enhance environmental stewardship.
- Conduct and coordinate audits, inspections, and risk assessments, driving timely corrective actions to address any findings or non-conformances.
- Maintain accountability for core EHS performance goals, including incident reduction, regulatory reporting accuracy, and completion of required employee safety training.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in EHS management within manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Well-versed in OSHA regulations with a track record of ensuring regulatory adherence and safe facility operations.
- Proficiency in EHS reporting platforms, MS Office Suite, and data analytics.
- Must be highly proactive, self-directed, and comfortable performing in a hands‑on role with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Strong command of EHS regulations and customer compliance expectations.
- Skilled in analyzing data trends and communicating insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
